Electric light is little more than a myth in rural Malawi. Because of this, youth growing up in these regions cannot study at night nor can they achieve the country's curriculum set forth by governing bodies based in well-lit cities. Because of the Dream Lights program, Redson will become one of the first youth in his area to break this status quo, rise to the top of his class and go on to become one of the 2% of Malawian youth that will study at a secondary school level.
